Ieri sera sul tardi, la Meyer e la Summit (casa produttrice del film) hanno rilasciato la seguente notizia:

Actor Robert Pattinson joins cast of Twilight for Summit Entertainment

Los Angeles, CA December 11, 2007 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Robert Pattinson will star as “Edward” in the highly anticipated feature film production TWILIGHT opposite Kristen Stewart. The thriller-romance, based on Stephenie Meyer’s publishing phenomenon, is slated to begin production in February 2008 with Catherine Hardwicke directing a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA) and Greg Mooradian will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.

Erik Feig, Summit Entertainment’s President of Production, stated, “It's always a challenge to find the right actor for a part that has lived so vividly in the imaginations of readers but we took the responsibility seriously and are confident, with Rob Pattinson, that we have found the perfect Edward for our Bella in TWILIGHT.”

Robert Pattinson most recently starred in LITTLE ASHES as the young Salvador Dali. Pattinson is best known for his role as Cedric Diggory in the recent box office successes HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.

***A note from Stephenie about the casting of Robert Pattinson:

I am ecstatic with Summit's choice for Edward. There are very few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing.

Robert Pattinson ha recentissimamente recitato nel film LITTLE ASHES come un giovane Salvador Dalì. Pattinson è maggiormente conosciuto per il suo ruolo di Cedric Diggory nel film HARRY POTTER E L'ORDINE DELLA FENICE e HARRY POTTER E IL CALICE DI FUOCO.

Sono estasiata dalla scelta della Summit per Edward. Ci sono pochi attori che possono sembrare pericolosi e belli allo stesso tempo, e anche meno che posso immaginare nella mia testa come Edward. Robert Pattinson sarà formidabile.

Ok sì quando ha fatto la parte di cedric sbavavo per lui...ma per il ruolo di edward me non ce lo vede per nienteeeeeeee T.T
Eravamo partiti con cavill...poi si sono messi di mezzo hayden e gaspard....poi gaspard se n'è andato e c'è stato un conflitto con petizioni fra cavill e hayden...poi loro sono scomparsi di colpo e hanno detto colton che erano quasi sicuri e ora se ne escono fuori con un altro!?!?!?

Ma è bellissimoooooo!!!
I suoi lineamenti secondo me si avvicinano più al modo in cui la Meyer descrive Edward rispetto a tutti gli altri...

Ma ormai è inutile piangere...ormai è sicuro che ci sarà Cedric a fare Edward O____O oddio mi suona davvero troppo male T.T (xD)

anke io penso ke robert pattinson sia perfetto x edward...nn so voi...forse ke ho visto la sua foto prima di leggere il libro...ma è davvero mozzafiato!!!!cmq...ognuno ha i propri gusti...qnd nexuno può forzare nwxuna ma scst poxo dire na cosa???EVVIVA!LA MEYER LO HA SCELTO EVVAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

scst sn di nuovo qui...ho girato mille forum...è mai poxibile ke ttt odiano robert?ki è ke si rende conto ke nn c'è sl la bellezza fisics...crycry...scst di nuovo...cmq la pensino lui e stato scelto e nn credo ke la meyer abbia i carciofini sotto gli okki x scegliere uno brutto x il ragazzo dei sogni di tutte le lettrici di twilight e co.ora mi asto infuriando...sn ttt belli ma qlcs fa si ke robert sia un pò migliore...nn lo nego ke nn piaceva neanke ame all'nizio ma poi mi ci sn abituata e mi è cominciata a piacere l'idea ke fosse lui l'edward ke ttt sognano...sxo ke nn lo crocifiggano x essere FORSE un pò miglire degli altri...crycry scusate
